Service & Maintenance — Because a Genset Is Only as Good as Its Care

Buying the generator is one day’s decision. Keeping it ready for the next ten years is ours.

A generator earns its keep on the day the grid fails and that’s the worst possible day to discover it wasn’t maintained. AG Power Teck Solutions runs a full-service operation for our 3S brands, with factory-trained engineers, genuine spares and response times built for real emergencies.

Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC)

Our AMC plans take the worry off your plate. We schedule and carry out every service your set needs, use only genuine OEM spares, and keep records that stand up to any audit. Plans are tailored to your usage — homes, offices, factories and rental fleets all run on different rhythms.

Comprehensive: Comprehensive AMC — parts and labour covered, fully predictable cost.
Labour-based: Non-comprehensive AMC — scheduled labour and visits; parts billed as used.
Tailored: Custom plans — built around your running hours, criticality and site conditions.

24-hour breakdown support

When a set goes down, every hour matters. For our 3S-brand customers we offer round-the-clock breakdown support and rapid on-site response across our five-office Tamil Nadu network — so a fault becomes a quick fix, not a long shutdown.

▪     24×7 helpline: Single number to call, day or night.
▪     Fast dispatch: Engineers and spares dispatched from the nearest branch.
▪     OEM spares: Genuine parts that restore the set to factory performance — and keep your warranty intact.

Maintenance tips that protect your investment

A few simple habits keep a diesel genset healthy, efficient and ready. Here’s what we tell every customer.

1. Use clean fuel and clean filters

Good-grade diesel and timely fuel-filter changes are the cheapest insurance you can buy. Dirty fuel clogs injectors, robs efficiency and shortens engine life. Keep the tank clean, avoid water contamination, and don’t let diesel sit stale for months.

2. Run at the right load

Operate your set between roughly 60% and 80% of its rated capacity. Running a diesel engine lightly loaded for long periods causes “wet stacking” — unburnt fuel and carbon build-up that fouls the engine. Right-sizing at purchase (see our consultation page) prevents this from the start.

3. Check oil and coolant on schedule

Engine oil and coolant are the lifeblood of the set. Check levels regularly, change oil and filters at the recommended intervals, and watch for leaks. These small, scheduled steps prevent the large, expensive failures

4. Exercise the generator regularly

A standby set that never runs deteriorates quietly — batteries discharge, seals dry out, fuel ages. Run it under load for a short period every week or two so it’s genuinely ready when you need it.

5. Keep the battery and connections healthy

Most no-start emergencies trace back to a weak battery or a loose terminal. Keep terminals clean and tight, check charge, and replace ageing batteries before they fail you mid-outage.

6. Plan periodic professional service

DIY checks are valuable, but a trained engineer catches what you can’t — fuel-system wear, alternator issues, hairline leaks, control faults. Quarterly or running-hour-based service visits turn surprises into scheduled fixes. That’s exactly what an AMC delivers.

Quick Answers

How often should my diesel generator be serviced?

Typically every 3 months or by running hours, whichever comes first — with consumables changed on schedule. Heavy-use and critical sites need more frequent attention; we’ll set the right interval for your usage.

Our priority service, AMC and genuine-spares support is for our 3S brands. For other makes, talk to us — we’ll advise on what we can support.

Predictable cost, scheduled care, priority breakdown response and genuine spares — which together mean less downtime and a longer engine life. Per-visit service is reactive; an AMC keeps you ahead of problems.

Yes. Our CPCB IV+ compliant sets are audit-ready, and we guide you on consent-to-operate and inspection requirements for your installation.
